Oz Mac User has been ticking away at a very laid back pace since it’s inception a little over a year ago. In many ways this hasn’t been completely accidental, as high on the priority list of goals was quality vs. quantity. As the founder, I couldn’t see any value in another news and review site. I could however see value in a user orientated site that had no commercial commitments, and therefore could be a little more open and subject to criticism without censorship.

As the site has brewed and manifested, it’s become clear that it is an ideal place for more experienced users to discuss advanced topics. This week has been a good example with discussions exploring the future of input devices, the future of notebooks and the future of external devices.

Unlike many Apple rumor sites that speculate on the next feature set of the next Apple product release, the discussions on Oz Mac User tend to look at the broader picture.  Collectively the core founders have some 60 years IT experience between them with very diverse IT backgrounds.
